The individual businesses and HGL's shareholdings are described below:

Aarque Graphics (50% owned)    
an independent supplier of large format and small format copying and printing solutions, consumables and service.  Aarque Graphics has in house nationwide sales and technical expertise, partnering with clients providing solutions in digital print, proofing, print production, pay for print, copying and print reproduction industries.  The head office is in Auckland with offices throughout New Zealand. The principal agency gained during the year was Roland.  The national footprint and strong market presence will lead to additional agencies in the future.  Mr Peter Bult is the Chief Executive. Amcla (37% owned) 
supplies a wide range of dispensing and health care products for pharmacies and individuals.  The business has its headquarters in Melbourne.  Mr Ian Garrow is the Chief Executive.  The management team own the balance of the equity.  www.amcla.com.au

Anitech (50% owned)       
distributes wide format printing solutions to the sign, advertising, point of sale, architects, engineers and construction markets as well as associated consumables and services.  Also provides third party maintenance and service support for a wide variety of computer based equipment.  The business is based in Sydney and has branches in all major Australian cities.  Mr Chris Wagstaff is the Chief Executive.  The management team own 50% of the business.  www.anitech.com.au

Biante (100% owned)       
Australia's leading distributor of collector model cars.  The cars are scale replicas designed in Australia and made in world class factories in China.  The Biante brand continues to be heavily promoted and this year it entered the V8 arena with prominent exposure at both Bathurst and Homebush.  The design centre is located in Perth with the sales function in Sydney.  The Chief Executive is Mr Chris Roche. www.biante.com.au

BLC Cosmetics (60%owned)        
exclusively represents Thalgo and Essie beauty and skin care products in Australia and the South Pacific.  The Thalgo range is sold through beauty salons and day spas with Essie retailed through nail bars.  Late in the year BLC began to distribute Grown, an organic product which is new to the Australian market.  Grown is currently retailed through department stores and pharmacies.  The business is based in Sydney with offices in Brisbane and Melbourne.  Mr Sol Caganoff is the Chief Executive.  The management team own 40% of the business.  www.thalgo.com.au

BOC (50% owned)    
imports and distributes ophthalmic equipment to retail optometrists, ophthalmologists and laboratories.  Agencies include Nidek, Optovue and Righton.  BOC continues to expand based on excellent customer service and increased penetration of the ophthalmology market.  The business is based in Sydney.  The management team own 50% of the business.  Mr Tony Cosentino is the Chief Executive.  www.bocinstruments.com.au

J Leutenegger (100% owned)      
imports and distributes fabric and haberdashery in conjunction with its 100% owned subsidiary Radda.  Exclusive agencies include DMC, Prym, Zweigart and Beutron.  The supply chain continues to be improved so reducing inventory levels.  The business is headquartered in Sydney.  Mr Chris Roche is the Chief Executive.   www.leutenegger.com.au

JSB Lighting (100% owned)         
supplier of specialist lighting equipment, the range includes architectural, commercial and exterior products from the world's leading manufacturers.  The business is based in Sydney with sales offices in Melbourne and Adelaide.  The Chief Executive is Mr Dudley Hewitt. www.jsblighting.com.au

Mountcastle (50% owned) 
imports, distributes and manufactures specialist headwear and is the market leader in supplying contract headwear to organisations such as the police, defence forces and schools.  The business is based in Brisbane.  The Chief Executive is Mr James Baldwin. Safilo (19.5% owned)
imports and distributes spectacle frames and sunglasses.  Safilo brands include Gucci, Christian Dior, Giorgio Armani, Emporio Armani and Carrera.  The business is based in Sydney.  The Chief Executive is Mr Roger Chick.  The balance of the business is owned by Safilo S.p.A and the management team. www.safilo.com.au

SPOS (100% owned)
designs and distributes a wide range of price ticketing, shelf management systems, merchandising and promotional display products.  The creative department, iCandy, offers concept, graphic and industrial designs, print production, project management and full production services both locally and overseas. XLN Fabrics (50% owned)
imports and distributes quality home sewing fabrics.  Exclusive agencies include Marcus Brothers, Benartex, Westminster and Free Spirit.  The business is based in Western Sydney.  The Chief Executive is Mr Vince Parry. The management team own 50% of the business.  www.xln.com.au
