Chief Executive Officer

Prior to joining HGL, Greg held a number of senior executive positions based in Australia over 10 years with the Mulpha Group, a listed diversified conglomerate with interests in hotels, property development, retirement, education, car parking and a winery.  During this time Greg was involved in most major strategic matters in driving growth across the group, including M&A.  In 2017 Greg led on behalf of Mulpha, the acquisition of a majority stake in a leading online education business, Education Perfect, from its founders, together with another private equity partner and served on its board.

Greg also sat on the Management Committee of The Hotel School, a unique joint venture with Southern Cross University, with campuses in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, offering specialist higher education qualifications in the hospitality and hotel management sector.

Prior to Mulpha, Greg has had a long background in infrastructure and corporate finance. This included senior roles at various investment banks in Australia and overseas, where he also sat on a number of acquired investee company boards, as well as at Sydney Airport Corporation where he was responsible at different times for strategy and planning and business development.

Greg is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from Macquarie University.

Greg is a Director of each of the HGL group businesses.

Appointed CFO / Company Secretary in May 2015, Iain has nearly 20 years experience in finance and company secretarial roles, the most recent being at Brickworks Ltd. He also has directorship experience in the Not-for- Profit sector, focussing on early childhood intervention.
